For one - I'm not disagreeing with any comments, I've got no problem with people disagreeing with my review.
For two - I was tempted to put this under the N/A category for review score as on The Reticule we use our own scoring convention. In this case, Destiny got a Red Mist which is defined as - "A rare sight, Game of the Year quality". Which in my view, is what the game is.
With those two points, I will leave you to discuss.
Lovely little insight into an emerging indie developer. Hope they have plenty of success with Dead Synchronicity!
Gotta get this, had my eye on it since the IGF back in 2010 I think!
Had a little play of this at the EG Expo last year (year before?) and was really excited by what Chris had managed to make. Definitely an exciting indie game to look out for.
Great idea, hope she is able to raise the funds she needs.
I quite enjoyed the first one, but everything I've heard about number three has left me cold. Doubt I'll be trying it out.
I've heard that using the borderless windowed trick on Tomb Raider isn't perfect with various crashes occurring when taking a lot of enemy fire.
I concede that I often feel like this about the FPS genre, but two games have shown me the light: Dishonored and Far Cry 3. Both great FPS titles in their own unique ways.
Same here, just as good as ever, shame they haven't included the expansions though :(
Tried it at the EG Expo...died quite a lot :(
Crikey, I get back from holiday and the whole internet is talking about this game! Sounds just a little bit interesting.
What I want to see is the rumoured PS+ changes and some big stuff for the Vita. At the moment my Vita is feeling unloved, give me something to get excited about it again please Sony!
Still haven't got around to playing any of Cliffski's recent games, he is a great character and his early titles are really enjoyable. Need to find the time for this one.
Oh so tempted to get Max, but I know that I won't spend the time on it to finish it soon. I'll probably wait til it comes down in price a bit though.
Blimey, EverQuest is still around? :o
I'll admit that I have once or twice spoofed things with IP location tools, I think I did it for Deus Ex or Skyrim, can't remember which off the top of my head, but the release date system is so infuriating at times it makes it necessary.
Well said though in the article, with the apparent demise of GAME, the other retailers could well break the street date idea and send some sense into the business of selling games in the UK/EU.
Online retailers like...
Never played any of the Soul Calibur games, well maybe played a demo of one. Too much else on the go at the moment to try this one though =[
Oh yes, it is a really good game, totally ignored in the game of the year awards.
Lovely examples of some of the art possible from games. Tetris art? Fantastic!
Lots of Viking/Norse themed games around, or coming out soon!
